Hein Poulus, KC and Farnaz Karimi successfully obtained court approval for a settlement arrangement resolving complex litigation involving five interrelated estate, family, and civil court actions. Court approval was required as the arrangements and claims involved several trusts, multiple corporate entities, and had potential implications for the interests of minors.

In granting the order pursuant to the Court’s parens patriae jurisdiction to protect the welfare of children, the Court was satisfied that the arrangements were in the best interests of the minors. Hein and Farnaz also obtained orders approving trust accounts and discharging their clients’ as acting as trustees after successfully demonstrating to the Court that their clients acted reasonably and diligently in their management of the trusts’ assets valued at over one hundred million dollars.
