Hein Poulus, KC, Kyle Thompson, and Ben Clarke are representing Seymour Health Inc., the province’s largest medical clinic, in its ongoing disputes with Vancouver Coastal Health and the provincial government. Vancouver Coastal Health has filed a petition seeking the appointment of a receiver, currently set for hearing on June 23, 2023, which will be vigorously opposed. Seymour Health Inc. has commenced its own action for damages naming Vancouver Coastal Health, the provincial government, and the Medical Services Commission as defendants based on the underlying dispute over the lack of licensing for laboratory and diagnostic services.

This petition and the underlying dispute has attracted media attention, including from CTV and CBC.
